Victoria Double Bed Retreat Near Buckingham Palace

This property is comfortable and in an outstanding location. Positive: The details for entry were prompt and detailed. The entrance to the property was appealing on arrival. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom is very clean and spacious. The location is absolutely the best thing about this property and I would recommend this location as being great for tourists. Negative: There were no keys - a code was provided and not until right on the time checkin was available. This was a bit off-putting as we were not sure what the process would be and had thought someone would meet us at the property only to be contacted via phone message and left to work it out for ourselves. The door code and door knob and the one for the apartment door are a bit like a puzzle that requires a safe cracker. But we got there. Our apartment was on the third floor and there is no lift. The room (like many in England) had no air-conditioning - however there was an electric fan we used and you can slightly open the window. Streaming did not seem to be available and we ended up channeling to our own Netflix account one night. There is loads of empty cupboard space and the renovation is quite ad hoc.

Beautiful place if no heatwave. Positive: Location is great. It’s a beautiful room Negative: Stairs and no air con in heatwave time felt like living in sauna

Great location Positive: The location and customer service were prompt to assist. Negative: The fact that a hair dryer was furnished with a uk plug but the bathroom didn't have a uk plug option. Being a us citizen , one wouldn't know to buy a specific uk to European adapter . No elevator plus Booking.Com advertised this property as an apartment and private kitchen. E locks were difficult to operate.
