Room in heart of London

Tolle Lage und freundliches Personal, aber die fehlende Klimaanlage, die schlechte Schalldämmung und einige organisatori Positive: Die Lage war ausgezeichnet und nur wenige Gehminuten von der U-Bahn-Station entfernt. Das Personal war freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Negative: Leider gibt es keinen Aufzug und das Treppenhaus ist sehr eng. Die Schalldämmung ist sehr schlecht – die Schritte der Gäste im oberen Stockwerk waren nachts deutlich zu hören. Zudem gibt es keinen Gepäckaufbewahrungsservice, sodass man sein Gepäck kostenpflichtig an einem anderen Ort lagern muss. Das Zimmer verfügt über keine Klimaanlage und wird im Sommer sehr warm. Außerdem war der Wasserdruck in der Dusche sehr schwach, und es dauerte lange, bis warmes Wasser verfügbar war.

Calm and comforting! Positive: The property was extremely clean which was very nice! Location was top 10 for me as a solo traveler. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and the Baker St tube station was only 5-7 minutes away. The A6 National Express to/from London Stansted airport is just a 4 minutes walk from the apartment which was very handy for me. The staff was amazingly fast with their replies and make me feel look after all the time. I’ve to admit that I doubted after making the booking specifically after reading a review that the property wasn’t safe for a solo woman traveller, I’ll say that’s not true at all. I came back to the property very late after a concert and I couldn’t feel more relaxed and safe. Property is very secure. Negative: Everything was good.

Tiptop, würde ich wieder buchen Positive: Alles vorhanden, was man für einen Städte-Tripp braucht. Bett sehr bequem, allerdings max 1,40m breit. Negative: Das Gemeinschaftsbad zu den Stoßzeiten zu teilen war manchmal nervig. Schön wäre auch zumindest für ein paar Tage Kaffeekapseln und Tee bereit zu legen. Bei uns war nix

Extremely well located, well equipped bright room Positive: Extremely well located property in a beautiful building steps away from Baker Street. Staff were very responsive and helpful. Our room was lovely, bright in the day and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the room was pleasant to be in. Note that the if you book a room with the shared bathroom, it’s one bathroom shared with three apartments (usually 6 people) so there may be lines, but it was generally ok. Negative: As mentioned by others, it is a noisy building because the floors squeak so you hear the upstairs flats quite loudly, but that’s no fault of the owners. A few small points that could make this place even better: providing a private shower carpet for each room so we can bring it upstairs would be more sanitary than the shared bathroom carpet, having a tissue box and kitchen paper in the bedrooms would be great, providing more coffee pods for longer stay would be appreciated (we only had two coffee pods for a three days stay in two - the rest of the days we had instant coffee), providing a small drying rack in the room would be useful given the possibility to do laundry.
